Trial night next Thursday (7th/June)
Trial night for next years under 10 teams (i.e. children born in 1997) will be held in Porterstown at 7pm next Thursday 7th of June. The purpose of this evening is a chance to view the skills of new players wanting to join the club as well as to assess if any existing players should be transferred between squads.
It is not mandatory for existing players to attend the trial night. But if anyone does not intend attending the trial, we would appreciate if you could confirm whether or not they plan to play with the club next year.

AGM Notice
The club AGM will be held in the Castleknock Hotel at 8:30pm on Monday 28th of May in the Castleknock Hotel. This will discuss plans for the new club house. All parents are encouraged to attend.
We have no match this Saturday 19th of May.

Home match against Malahide on Saturday
Our next match will be a home match against Malahide United on Saturday next 5/May. Kick-off will be at 11:30am so we should all try to be at Porterstown before 11:15am.
In future training will be at 7:15pm on Wednesdays in Laurel Lodge Green. The extra 15 minutes shoudl make it easier for people to be there on time and thankfully the good longer evenings means we shoudl have plenty of light.

Change of day for training this week
This week training will be moved from Wednesday (11/April) at 7pm to Thursday (12/April) at the same time. Brian and Gavin will be attending a training session with the visiting coaches from Manchester United on Wednesday evening so hopefully we will pick up some tips that will help in our semi-final at the weekend.
Training will revert to the usual day next week.

Now that the days are beginning to get longer, the day and time of our training will change. From this week onwards, training will be from 7-8pm on Wednesday in Laurel Lodge Green (starting Wednesday 4th of April).

Change from indoor to outdoor training
Next Thursday 22nd of March will be out last date for indoor training in Diswellstown. The following Thursday 29th of March we will have our first outdoor training session at 6:30pm on Laurel lodge green (the earlier start time will be required to ensure we have enough light).

A friendly against Athenry
We will have no league match this Saturday 3rd/March. Instead we will host a visiting team from Athenry who are coming up to play us in a friendly match. The kick-off will be at 12:30 in Porterstown, but we have offered to give them some sandwiches before the match so if any parents could help out by bringing along a plate of sandwiches at 11:30 I am sure they would be much appreciated by our visitors after their long drive from Galway.

Pub Quiz
The annual Eve-of-Lent (Pancake Tuesday) Quiz will be held in

Details of Man Utd Soccer Schools (MUSS) camp during Easter Holidays
As I told you before, last Easter the club hosted a very successful Man United Soccer Schools (MUSS) camp and have therefore decided to do so again this year. Details are as follows:
Dates: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 10/11/12 April 2007
Venue: Castleknock College
Cost: €99.95
Time: 9.30 - 3.45 daliy
Places: 80
A big interest in these places is expected so it is advisable to register as soon as possible. Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis and will be open until 30th of January 2007 or until all places have been taken, which ever comes first. Completed application forms and the correct fee should be returned to Philip Zambra at 24 Luttrellstown Heights. To avoid any confusion with registering for the course parents should deal directly with Philip (087 2697005).

Christmas Party
The club Christmas party will be held on the All-weather pitch on Saturday 16th from 1.30pm to 3.15pm. We are having a joint party with under under 9 and under 10 teams from the club.
The party will involve a short 5 a side league competition where matches last 5 minutes a half. This will be followed by lots of goodies to eat. You need to let us know if you plan to be there. If you are coming you have to be at the Community Centre before 1.30pm so you can be assigned to a team for the competition.

Change of Jersey
We will be exchanging our stripped jersey for hooped jerseys to be more compatible with the Castleknock Celtic normal colours. You should bring your existing jersey to training next Thursday (2nd of November) so that we can exchange it for onr of the new designs.
The league has been reorganised and all teams have been reverted to 0 points and we all start with a clean sheet. This means we are joint top of the league :-). We have no match this weekend due to the bank holiday weekend.

Training moves indoors
Due to the fact that the nights are getting darker and the weather is getting worse we have decided to move the training indoors. From next week onwards, the training will be held in St. Patrick's National School in Diswellstown. The date and time will also be changing, training will in future be held at 8-9pm on Thursdays (starting Thursday 28th of September).

Training Time
